Central Coast Secrets & Hidden Gems

08.30AM             Departing from Sydney, we travel 1 hour north via the Freeway to the stunning waters of the Lower Hawkesbury River.  Located here is our first stop, The Broken Bay Pearl Farm. During our visit here, you will meet the passionate farming team and learn about Australia’s pearl and oyster farming history on your private 1-hour cruise on the tranquil waters.

Rejoining our vehicle, our next stop is at the boutique and unique Distillery Botanica. Independently owned by astute herbalist and master distiller Philip Moore, this delightful distillery is set amongst three acres of tranquil and enchanting gardens.  Here we enjoy a stroll through the
enchanted and tranquil gardens before a tasting of a range of award-winning Moore’s Dry Gins, Mr Black and Distillery Botanica’s Vodka and Liqueurs. 

Having no doubt worked up an appetite, it’s time to head to lunch at the picturesque coastal town of Terrigal, famed for its broad golden sand beach, tranquil lagoon, and seaside vibe.  At your restaurant overlooking the rolling waves, we will enjoy a 2-course lunch from the a-la-carte menu with a glass of beer wine or soft drink.   

Time after lunch to stretch the legs for a stroll along the Norfolk pine-lined Esplanade and rejoin your guide and vehicle as we travel the short distance tot Fires Creek Winery, one of the most unique and beautiful wineries in Australia.  Practising regenerative organic farming, the winery produces 25 different wines on the property at any one time. Utmost care is taken into delicately make the wine so that the natural flavours of the fruit and flowers are captured in the wine, in one of the most ultimate ways of preserving botanicals. Wines are also vegan friendly. 

On arrival we are met by your host who will be lead your through the stunning organic gardens, orchard and vines, with discussion about wine making and stopping to sample 1 – 2 of the wines in different locations - under the vines or amongst the trees from which the fruit was lovingly grown. You will then be taken into the “Vat Room” where the wine is all produced.  From here we adjourn to the gardens for a Chocolate and Wine Pairing. Four exquisite hand-made chocolates paired perfectly with four Firescreek Botanical wines. 

Commencing our return drive to Sydney, a final stop at the Chocolate Factory is available before we return via the freeway to Sydney and your hotel, arriving at approximately 4.30-5.00pm

Departures: Daily Wednesday - Sunday from Sydney City Hotels. Recommended pick up at 8:30am and returns to
hotels at approximately 4:30-5.00pm.
