1.00PM            Departing from your city hotel we commence our drive along the Great Western Highway to our first stop of the day at Red Hands Cave in the Glenbrook area of the Blue Mountains.  The cave has quite a few hand stencils and prints of various covers. The walk from the car park slowly winds through the bush passing a few rocky outcrops and reasonable fitness is required. (If you prefer not to do this walk, the itinerary can be amended to suit your preferences and include alternative lookouts. Re-joining our vehicle, we travel further up the mountains. The Blue Mountains National Park is one of seven national parks that make up the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. This wonderland of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines and hazy blue eucalypt forests boasts luxury retreats and stunning views. This afternoon your guide will take you off the beaten track to visit remote lookout locations and discuss the history, flora and fauna of this magnificent region.

We arrive at one of a selection of lookouts to enjoy views of the setting sun. The colour and texture of the Blue Mountains sunset vary each day depending on the season. During winter, the hues are softer with pinkish accents because of low temperature. Spring breathes a vigorous ambience and summer would display roughness and strength. Autumn brings out the natural charm of the Blue Mountains highlighted by the colourful vegetation and the falling leave.  We will enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and canapes as the sun goes down.

Our final stop of the day is the beautiful Echoes Restaurant, perched at the absolute edge of the Blue Mountains National Park, with views of mountains, cliff edges and lush rainforest

valleys right through the Jamison Valley to Mittagong, 80 kilometres away.  Here we will enjoy a 2-course dinner with glass of beer, wine or soft drink per person.

** Order of Sunset and Dinner will be determined by time of year travelling.  Autumn/Winter likely to be Sunset with Savoury Canapes & Australian Sparkling wine followed by Dinner / Spring and Summer likely to be Dinner first then Sunset Viewing with selection of sweet bites with Australian Sparkling wine.
